We all know we should be using natural cleaners. But, when you’re a busy mum it takes time to read all those labels! It’s great that kids today are becoming much more environmentally conscious. Maybe you’ve heard your kids say something like this – “We don’t want to do anything to hurt the dolphins, Mum.” Both my girls are very aware. They pick up rubbish and don’t use plastic straws, because they don’t want them to end up in the ocean and kill dolphins.
Just recently we had a talk about the plastic toys that supermarkets give away and how these just end up being thrown away when the next big thing comes around. The girls even know there’s a spot in the ocean where there’s so much plastic accumulated that it’s as big as an island.
Kaitlyn was telling me she is a VSCO girl now as they care about the environment and only use metal straws. Apparently it’s the latest trend for tween girls. Have you heard of it? Only my girls have been doing this all their lives. The great thing is, neither of them can remember a time when we weren’t using natural cleaners.

So, some kids are getting the idea. But, as adults we also need to be more conscious of the environment. From what we use, recycle, reuse to the toxic chemicals that are in our cleaning products. Yes, that’s right… toxic!
