That’s right. You are never alone. Not even in the loo. Let’s be honest here – mums can be our biggest fans… and our toughest critics. They can melt our hearts… and drive us crazy!
You’ll find one of my ‘Mum, you’re driving me crazy’ stories below. Sometimes all we want is to be in our mother’s arms and other times we can’t get away from them fast enough.
Of course, the scary thing is that when we become mums ourselves, we discover the job isn’t nearly as simple or easy as we thought it might be.
I totally agree with writer, Jane Sellman, who said, “The phrase ‘working mother’ is redundant.” For most, being a mum is a 24/7 job, with little thanks and no time off for good behaviour!
Spoil Them With Natural Goodness
So, as we approach Mothers Day, it’s a great opportunity to think of our mums and be thankful for them. And if we can to spoil them a bit. And what better way to do that than to pamper them with the best, all natural products? Products that they’ll love, which are also good for them.
I’ve also included a DIY recipe below that you can make and give to your mum with love.
She Drives Me Crazy
Mums look after us, but sometimes it’s not easy to get our mothers to take care of themselves! My mum has been quite resistant to getting rid of some of the toxic chemicals in her body products. As a result she’s suffered with ‘unhappy skin’ for a long time.
Finally, after years of begging and pleading with her to try some of the natural Young Living products, Mum was complaining to her sister about her skin. Auntie Norma said, “It’s probably all those chemicals you’re using!”

DIY Lavender-Oatmeal Bath Soak Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup bicarb soda
5 drops Young Living Frankincense essential oil
10 drops Young Living Melaleuca Alternifolia Tea Tree essential oil
15 drops Young Living Lavender essential oil
Method
- Grind oats in a food processor or coffee grinder into a fine, flour-like texture.
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl until the oils are evenly distributed.
- Store in a glass jar and use about 1 cup of mixture per bath.
