DIY Christmas Gifts with the scent of GINGERBREAD!

DIY Christmas Gifts Gingerbread

When you think of Christmas, what comes to mind? For me, two of my favourite things are DIY Christmas gifts to share with the people I love… and GINGERBREAD!

If only there was some way to combine the two… Oh wait! There IS!

So, here are some easy, simple and yummy ways to combine the warm, spicy, festive smell of gingerbread with all-natural, no-tox recipes. People will love it when you play Santa and put these beautiful treats in their Christmas stocking.

My fave DIY Christmas gift recipes

Nothing says, “I appreciate you” like a DIY gift! Of course, it also says “I’m a creative, warm-hearted, natural person” – but that’s another story!

All three of these DIY recipes are energised by the power of essential oils – Ginger, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove and Vanilla. Of course, it goes without saying that I recommend using only the best quality essential oils. That is why I only use and recommend Young Living essential oils. If you want to find out more about this, check out my post here.

So, here are three yummy Gingerbread-scented recipes to delight your friends and family this Christmas:

Gingerbread Lip Balm

Firstly, for luscious, delicious lips ready for those spicy smooches under the mistletoe try this easy recipe.

You need:

Method:

  • Firstly, melt the beeswax, butters, and grape seed oil in a double boiler.
  • Remove from heat and add your essential oils.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Then pour into the lip balm tubes and let cool.
  • Remember – save a little bit to top off the lip balm after it settles in the tubes.
  • This should make about 7 lip balms.

Gingerbread Bath Soak

Help those you love relax into the festive season with a luxurious bath experience. But make sure you save some for yourself too!

You need:

Method:

  • Mix the powdered milk, corn flour and bicarb soda in a ziplock bag.
  • Add the essential oils, close the bag and shake thoroughly to mix.
  • Split the mixture in two and place in jars

Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

You need:

Method:

  • Combine the sugars and coconut oil with a fork or hand mixer – the mixer makes it easier!
  • Whip together until nice and smooth.
  • Add the vanilla extract and essential oils and continue mixing until nice and fluffy.
  • Then spoon into jars and decorate with a ribbon and a card.
  • Makes 6 jars of sugar scrub.
